Overview

Introduction

This small town hosts Entertainment City, the largest amusement park in the Middle East, which offers the unexpected sight of Kuwaiti women, wrapped head-to-toe in voluminous chadors, screaming in delight as they zoom around the roller coasters. Closed Saturday. Just outside the park is a settlement where dhows (sailboats) are built. Drop by and see craftsmen construct the boats according to a design that hasn't changed for 1,000 years. 10 mi/15 km west of Kuwait City.
