Glover's Reef Atoll

Glover's Reef Atoll

Overview

Introduction

Glover's Reef Atoll, a protected national reserve, is made of some of Belize's most remote cayes. The islands are popular with serious snorkelers, divers and anglers.

Isla Marisol, a pleasant dive lodge, is on Southwest Caye, and Glover's Atoll Resort has a beautiful setting but lacks electricity or running water and has extremely primitive accommodations. There are several adventure companies that offer tours there.

The area can be reached by a three-hour-plus boat ride from Dangriga, Hopkins or Placencia.
