Introduction

The administrative, industrial and cultural center of central Serbia, Kragujevac features a national museum, concert hall, the children's theater Joakim Vujic and the vibrant University of Kragujevac. The 19th-century church is also worth seeing for its unique design.

Kragujevac, located 86 mi/139 km south of Belgrade, features interesting modern and traditional architecture and is known for the museum 21.October, located on the site where Nazis executed 7,000 town residents during World War II. The museum and surrounding park are dedicated to the memory of those victims.
