Overview

Introduction

Danilovgrad, Montenegro, is located on the banks of the Zeta River, 11 mi/17 km northwest of Podgorica. An archaeological site featuring the remains of a basilica from the Middle Ages lies nearby.

Danilovgrad is also home to some interesting monuments, including the remains of a Turkish fortress and bridge. A museum, housed in the former palace of King Nikola, and an art gallery are also worth seeing.
