Introduction

This village, off the main road through the Fouta Djallon, is perched over what could be described as the Grand Canyon of Guinea. Hasan Bah, a trilingual villager, has built simple huts for tourists, and he offers treks throughout this spectacular region. Hiking, bouldering, swimming and wildlife-viewing options abound. 128 mi/206 km northeast of Conakry.
