Roslyn

Roslyn

Overview

Introduction

Historic Roslyn served as the backdrop for scenes in the TV series Northern Exposure, though the fictional town was in Alaska, not Washington.

The town, located 75 mi/125 km southeast of Seattle, offers an excellent historical museum that houses a collection of antique photographs (http://www.roslynmuseum.com). At the Brick Saloon, said to be the oldest continuously operating bar in Washington, look for the circa-1905 cash register, running-water spittoon under the bar and—for rowdy customers—jail cells in the basement. https://www.bricksaloon.com.
