Historic Roslyn served as the backdrop for scenes in the TV series Northern Exposure, though the fictional town was in Alaska, not Washington.
The town, located 75 mi/125 km southeast of Seattle, offers an excellent historical museum that houses a collection of antique photographs (http://www.roslynmuseum.com).
