Louisiade Archipelago

Louisiade Archipelago

Overview

Introduction

Named for Louis Vaez de Torres, who first saw them in 1606, these islands are absolutely beautiful (we especially enjoyed the reef diving). Rarely visited, they are worth seeing if time permits. 375 mi/600 km east of Port Moresby.
