Overview

Introduction

In this town, one of the best forts in the country (built in the 1670s as a palace) has been restored by the government. It's now a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Be sure to admire its beautiful carvings and painted ceilings. 110 mi/180 km southwest of Masqat.
