Overview

Introduction

This village in the Mount Lebanon range, on the road from Tripoli to Bcharre, is a gateway to some of the best scenery in the country. Located near the Kadisha Gorge, Ehden is a good base for visiting the Horsh Ehden Forest Nature Reserve, which protects native flora and fauna. There are several churches and monuments in the town, but nature viewing and hiking are the biggest draws. Ehden is 72 mi/115 km northeast of Beirut.
