Overview

Introduction

The picturesque village of Marsaxlokk, Malta, 5 mi/7 km southeast of Valletta, will appeal to history buffs—it was the landing site for the Ottoman and Napoleonic invasions of Malta. Today, the harbor boasts a large and colorful fleet of luzzu, the Maltese fishing boats. There is a daily market along the quay, which is a good spot for souvenirs.
