Overview

Introduction

Spectacular views are the main attraction of this old Greek Cyprus village, set high on a cliff. The nearby Ayios Elias Chapel with its wall frescoes is notable because it's not made of bricks, timber or stone and mortar—the church was carved out of solid rock. Pissouri is well-known for its windsurfing and the luxurious hotels on Pissouri Beach. 50 mi/80 km southwest of Nicosia.
