Introduction

Once a favorite beach resort for South Africans, Xai-Xai (pronounced shy-shy) has fallen into neglect. Still, a beautiful beach, seaside hotel and nice campground make the town an agreeable stopover on the north-south road, 140 mi/225 km northeast of Maputo.
