Overview

Introduction

Brownsberg Nature Park, located on a magnificent rain-forest plateau 80 mi/130 km south of Paramaribo, is one of the best places in South America to explore the rain forest—marked trails make getting into the forest easy. The park has an amazing variety of birds and animals, including toucans, peccaries, cats (pumas and ocelots) and howler monkeys. Beautiful Brokopondo Lake is in the park as well. A paved road connects the park with the capital.
