The world-renowned Greenbrier resort is located in White Sulphur Springs, West Virginia, 121 mi/195 km southeast of Charleston.

About 30 mi/48 km northeast of White Sulphur Springs is Watoga State Park. It has the Greenbrier River as part of its boundary and is the state's largest park.
