Located in southeast Iowa, Mount Pleasant is home to two unusual museums: the Midwest Old Threshers Museum (devoted to farm implements) and the Museum of Repertoire Americana (relics of the days of tent shows and traveling theatrical troupes). 110 mi/177 km southeast of Des Moines.
