Overview

Introduction

Mescalero, New Mexico, is home to Ski Apache, part of the Inn of the Mountain Gods Resort & Casino.

The park collects an average of 15 ft/4.6 m of powder each season and peaks at 11,500 ft/3,565 m, with 55 distinct trails for all levels. Eleven lifts service these trails on the Rockies, including a four-person gondola.

Ski Apache provides instructors daily for ski and snowboarding lessons, and a free lift ticket is granted to all beginners who have signed up for instruction. For more advanced guests, the park also has three Terrain Parks which feature boxes and rails for skiing and snowboarding tricks. There is also a zipline tour of the mountain, and in warm weather hiking on the mountain is available.

In addition to its numerous trails and slopes, Ski Apache offers many restaurants and bars, as well as the Ski Apache Sport Shop for gifts and the spacious Main Lodge, where clients can warm up and relax by the fire.
