Copper Mountain

Copper Mountain

Overview

Introduction

Long revered for its unbelievable ski conditions, Copper Mountain is the locals' favorite and ideal for every level of skier. It includes 2,433 acres/985 hectares of skiable terrain. The area's easier terrain is separate from the more challenging courses. Beginners should take the American Flyer lift and then route to the west end and the Soliloquy to Roundabout course. It's a long, easy run. Snowboarders welcome.

Skiers and snowboarders of all levels will find suitable trails, with gentle slopes to the west and steeper, more aggressive slopes to the east. Famous with the younger crowd for the best terrain parks and pipes in the state. The ski season runs mid-November to late April.

Copper is also the place to be for apres-ski, with a variety of restaurants, shops and seasonal special events. Summer visitors can enjoy Jeep tours to ghost towns, free chairlift rides, and fly-fishing clinics. For information, call 970-968-2882, or toll-free 886-841-2481. https://www.coppercolorado.com.

Copper Mountain is one of the easiest ski areas to get to from Denver. It's an 80-minute straight shot west on Interstate 70, Exit 195, near Frisco.
