Zaragoza

Zaragoza

Overview

Introduction

Although we wouldn't put Zaragoza, Spain, the capital of Aragon, on a must-see list, it does boast a surprising number of sights that may pique your interest.

You can visit the Aljaferia, an 11th-century Moorish palace, as well as two world-class museums, each housed in a restored palace: Museo Pablo Gargallo (dedicated to the sculptor) and Museo Camon Aznar (artworks).

Roman walls, churches such as Basilica de Nuestra Senora del Pilar, and museums, including the Sacristy and Tapestry Museum, the Pablo Serrano sculpture museum and the Museo del Foro de Caesaraugusta, a Roman ruins museum, complete the picture.
