Kalaw

Kalaw

Overview

Introduction

Set in the forests 48 mi/78 km west of Inle Lake, the former hill station of Kalaw, Myanmar, seems far more British than Burmese with pine tree forests, mountain vistas and a cool, elevated climate. The main activity in these parts is trekking; a popular route is the two- to four-day trek towards Inle Lake. For a fee, a porter will arrange for your luggage to be waiting at your hotel.
