Le Luc

Le Luc

Overview

Introduction

In the heart of the Var, Le Luc is a small village that harmoniously blends the past with a current, thriving economy. In the 20th century, Le Luc was a reputed spa town, and in earlier history it was a haven for Protestants in a predominantly Catholic country.

The center of town is dominated by the Hexagonal Tower in the Place Pasteur. A walkabout will reveal beautiful fountains, important remains of Roman villas, and Notre Dame de Nazareth, a church of the 15th and 16th centuries.

Around the village you will discover wineries, farms and rolling hills. Les Vignerons du Luc is of note, on Rue de L'Ormeau, a couple of steps away from the Hexagonal Tower (http://www.lesvigneronsduluc.com). Domaine de L'Amaurigue is another good winery, also hosting events and weddings in a beautiful setting, on Route de Cabasse (https://www.amaurigue.com)
