Lefkas Island

Lefkas Island

Overview

Introduction

Lefkas Island is separated from mainland Greece by a narrow canal only 164 ft/50 m wide, making it one of the only Greek islands accessible by car. Lefkas is home to dazzling blue waters, rocky white cliffs and spectacular beaches, as well as charming towns and villages.

Lefkas Town is the main center on the island, where most of the accommodations, shops and dining options can be found. Smaller villages worth visiting include Agios Nikitas, Kalamitsi, Vasiliki and Sivota. Kathisma and Egremni beaches are the most renowned and worth checking out.
