Overview

Introduction

Situated 185 mi/300 km north of Kuala Lumpur, this old mining center is a lovely place to stop if you are in the Ipoh-Pangkor area. It has a beautiful lake, colonial architecture, misty views of the surrounding hills and a nice museum (the oldest in Malaysia). Also nearby is Maxwell Hill, a hill station unchanged since colonial days.
