Nusa Dua

Nusa Dua

Overview

Introduction

Once a barren, sparsely populated strip of coast, Nusa Dua is now one of Bali's—and the world's—most luxurious beach resorts. Located just 10 mi/15 km south of Denpasar, the accommodations are lavish, expensive and sheltered from the outside world, which includes the rest of Bali. Air-conditioned shopping centers, lagoon-sized pools, complete sport facilities and a golf course are Nusa Dua's other attractions.

The disadvantage of Nusa Dua accommodations is that one could stay the whole time there and never get a true taste of Balinese culture. However, the hotels can organize trips to the nearby temples and craft villages.
