Loen, Norway, a beautiful glacial town 210 mi/340 km northwest of Oslo on the eastern point of the Nordfjord, is in a stunning area, and the scenery is even more spectacular when seen from above. If flying isn't your thing, you can enjoy an afternoon drive—by either motorcoach or horse-drawn carriage—through a wooded area to the Briksdalen Inn (in the nearby town of Briksdal), passing beautiful waterfalls and rivers along the way.
