Koge

Koge

Overview

Introduction

Koge, Denmark, is a quaint shopping town just 22 mi/35 km southwest of Copenhagen, with a cobblestoned market square and many half-timbered houses. Most of the first-rate shops and restaurants are in historic houses that date from the Middle Ages. Koge also has a good town museum, as well as an art museum that contains the original model for the Little Mermaid.

Just south of town is Vallo Castle, which is noted for its lovely tulip gardens. Be sure to see the beautiful chalk-cliff formation of Stevns Klint, 16 mi/25 km southeast of Koge. http://www.visitkoege.com.
