Overview

Introduction

The scene of intense fighting, Jaffna remains off-limits to visitors. Most of the city's residents have fled, and Jaffna has become a modern-day ruin. Before the fighting, the city's main sites were the Jaffna Fort, a number of Hindu temples and an archaeological museum. 190 mi/310 km north of Colombo.
