What is a winery and resort built in the style of a 16th-century chateau doing in a small town in Georgia? We don't know, but we enjoyed it anyway. Chateau Elan successfully captures the romanticism of wine-making usually associated with the wineries of California. There are tours and tastings as well as lessons in wine-making, a wine-history museum, fine dining, cooking demos, a wine market and a great gift shop. http://www.chateauelanatlanta.com.
