Overview

Introduction

An outpost along the Karawari River, Amboin is near the Karawari Lodge, a rustic retreat on a hill overlooking the river. The lodge offers riverboat excursions and tribal dances (it's an alternative to Sepik River cruising). Plan to stay two full days and nights if you go. 330 mi/530 km northwest of Port Moresby.
