Welcome to Fabulous Las Vegas

So, you’ve never been to Las Vegas. What’s kept you? Never mind – let’s stop talking, and start doing! The important thing here is that you’re ready for the time of your life, and there’s no better place to celebrate than Las Vegas.

First up − people watching. With the cross-section of visitors and celebrities who come to Las Vegas, it’s usually primetime entertainment. There are several terrific vantage points on the Strip, including HEXX at Paris Las Vegas with spectacular patio dining and unparalleled views of the Las Vegas Strip. At Giada inside The Cromwell, guests can eat in the dining room, or on the outdoor patio while enjoying breathtaking views of the Bellagio fountains. Alizé at Palms Casino Resort boasts the most dramatic view of the famous Las Vegas Strip. You can also enjoy a spectacular view from the terrace of LAVO at The Palazzo or Umami Burger and Beer Garden at SLS Las Vegas.

Cruising the Strip is required for any first-timer, by car or by foot, and since we’re on the Strip, now’s a good time to start. As you cruise, check out the enormous digital marquees for amazing shows you’ll only find in Las Vegas. There’s the music spectacular Steve Wynn’s ShowStoppers at Wynn Las Vegas, Raiding the Rock Vault at Tropicana Las Vegas, Terry Fator: The Voice of Entertainment at The Mirage, and Mystère by Cirque du Soleil at Treasure Island − TI. The people back home will expect you to see at least one of them. Check out The Smith Center for the Performing Arts, presenting the best and brightest in a broad range of first-rate programming including Broadway hits like Cabaret and iconic crooners such as Paul Anka.

Be sure to get out and have a little fun exploring, too. Stroll through the unique retail outlet Grand Bazaar Shops at Bally’s, or the new LINQ entertainment and shopping street that meanders between The LINQ Hotel and Casino and Flamingo Hotel. With new restaurants, shops and performance venues, this family-friendly destination and home to the High Roller Observation Wheel, offering half-hour rides that can include an open bar in the “pod.”

If you haven’t seen downtown Las Vegas in a while, you haven’t seen it at all. Check out the assortment of restaurants and bars that make up the Fremont East District and the new Container Park, made entirely of shipping containers. Check out the elegant and stylish Downtown Grand resort on Third Street, and be sure to drop by the D Las Vegas, a downtown hot spot.

Hungry yet? Las Vegas used to only be famous for buffets. Nowadays, you can also enjoy the culinary creations of any number of celebrity chefs; but as a first-timer, a buffet is in order. Wicked Spoon at The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas delivers top-quality, familiar staples in addition to imaginative and seasonal dishes, while the Feast Buffet at Red Rock Casino Resort and Spa features six live-action cooking stations. Celebrated for its expansive selection of gourmet offerings, the Bacchanal Buffet at Caesars Palace will leave everyone at the table wanting more.

Looking for adventure? We’ve got you covered; whether you like thrills by air, land or sea. Start with the SkyJump at the Stratosphere. At 108 stories, it’s the longest controlled free fall of its kind. On El Loco at Circus Circus, experience twists, turns and drops very unique in the coaster world as you ascend 90 feet before dropping over and under to experience a 1.5 vertical-G72. Not daring enough? How about swimming with the sharks? Well, you can come close with the Diving with Sharks program at the Shark Reef Aquarium inside Mandalay Bay.

Las Vegas is the birthplace of many legendary excursions. Who knows? You could be the next to leave your mark on Las Vegas.
