Gunung Mulu National Park

Abundant biodiversity, a world heritage site and the most studied tropical karst in the world sits on the island of Borneo in Sarawak. Mount Mulu is a sandstone mountain and in it lies enormous cave chambers home to millions of cave swiftlets and bats. Adventure caving is accessed by foot or wading across the river beneath the mountain by boat. The national park’s dense vegetation is beautifully draped across the tree trunks surrounded by the beady eyes of insects, lizards, butterflies and interesting creepy crawlies. Get off the forest floor and walk along the 480 meter Mulu Canopy Skywalk, the world’s longest tree-based canopy. Comfy with nature? Go camping and stay overnight in a jungle base where you can listen to the songs of the forest.
