Morro Bay


Morro Bay is a Californian coastal community with beautiful state parks, a bird estuary and the distinct Morro Rock, the last chain of long-extinct volcanoes. Morro Bay was once a Chumash settlement however it was in the late sixteenth century when the first Spanish galleon arrived at Morro Bay. Franciscan missionaries named the area morro referring to a bluish color. Today, Morro Bay is a local fishing industry with a variety of activities for its visitors such as: surfing, kayaking, golfing or bird watching.
