Overview

Introduction

Located in southern Slovakia 124 mi/200 km northeast of Bratislava, Lucenec is the trade and economic center of the region. It's also an old, historic city and home to world-renowned Bohemian crystal. In Lucenec, you can visit the Novohrad Museum, with its ethnographic displays, or stop by the historic Hotel Reduta at Vajanskeho 2 for a taste of wine from the cellar. For more travel tips while in the town, visit the Tourist Information Center located at Masarykova 14. Approximately 30 mi/48 km from Lucenec on the Hungarian border, you can visit Somoska Castle, which offers some excellent views of the region.
