Overview
This major oasis is one of the first reached by southbound travelers as they leave the coastal cities (it's located in the foothills of the Atlas Mountains). Plan on stopping one night to visit its beautiful garden, the El Attik Mosque and the main market, which was founded in the 11th century. 250 mi/400 km south of Algiers.
