Overview

Introduction

Open to the trade winds, Salazie is the greenest of the three mountain basins. Some visitors choose to see its verdant vegetation and numerous waterfalls from a helicopter. But those who prefer to keep their feet on the ground will enjoy the towns of Salazie, Hell-Bourg (don't miss its gorgeous Creole architecture) and Grand Ilet. Make sure you see the Bride's Veil, a truly spectacular waterfall. 11 mi/18 km southeast of St. Denis.
